Anybody know what color the carpets were on the standard 64-66 silver interiors?

Very rare, I have only seen 1 silver interior '64, and it had silver carpet.

Mike, the 63/64 JM says that Medium gray is carpet color.

Looking at my friends original silver/silver 64 vert. it appears to be a light gray color on bottom of door panels, less faded than floor carpet. The silver vinyl next to it is very silver in comparison. This is an untouched one owner car. Send an email and i'll send you a picture or two.

GRAY CARPET is correct. AL KNOCK uses a very nice silver carpet, but it is not correct. Jack Murray owned a 13000 mile J-56 TANKER 64 COUPE for many years. The original carpet was grey as Dan says. I know of two other silver interior cars, also with ''GREY'' carpet.

My 66' (L36) Pearl silver/silver vinyl has gray carpets, but they're new repros, hence not 100% original.

Thanks guys, this is not a correct car, I'm probable going with the silver carpet. I just wondered if any of these cars had black, red, or blue carpets, rather than the gray.

I am thinking about replacing my dirty faded silver carpet with new black carpet. I saw one like this, the contrast was striking! Plus will be easier to care for.

Guy in my town bought a '64 Daytona Blue with silver interior, hardtop only, 365/4 speed in 1967. It had gray carpet. A quick and unique car that was really sharp looking.
