Patrick, call the hotel and add his name to the reservation. He can then checking. At checkout he uses his card and yours will not be charged. If the checkin and checkout dates are different change those when you add him.

I'll need the days for a hunt we have planned in October.
And, after the disappointment that was Joplin, I'll skip the National and look at the Wisconsin Regional. It's much closer and will require a lot less time off.
Also, most of my family won't be able to make it to the National so that decreases my interest in attending.
