    Buy and Hold; C2 edition

Going through my old clippings from the '70s and '80s and came across this newspaper ad that appeared in the Omaha NE Sunday World Herald, Jan 20, 1980. A good friend and I were heading from Calgary Alberta to Houston TX, to deliver a Cadillac to an ailing co-worker's wife, and (to make the trip worthwhile) pick up C2 or two . Interesting to compare prices from back in the day. I ended up buying the '65 N03 car for the low $6K's after the ad appeared in Hemmings, which forced me to make my move. Still have it today.

Here's proof that even back then '67s were ridiculously priced (just kidding).

I would think at one time the big tank would make it worth a little less ? In about 1963 my dad bought his second wife a 56 Bel Air conv . Yellow & black with a continental kit . He had it painted all black and a std. rear bumper installed . I guess the old stuff went to the dump. I was about 12 or 13 at the time .

Interesting that many of those ads don't mention which engine or horsepower.

I remember seeing an old Hemmings ad the Jerome Shinkay ran in the early 80s. It had some incredible cars in it, like the 12 mile coupe, a real Grand Sport and lots of low mileage big block cars and muscle cars. Even as a high school kid it made an impression on me and I often dreamt of owning those cars.
