I've driven my '59 Frost Blue/Red interior, Triple Crown winning car over 1200 miles in the past 5 years and it gives me a warm feeling all over to give people the "wave" as I drive down the street and watch all the heads turn.....My wife and I took it about 30 miles last night to get a bite to eat, visit relatives and to get an ice cream at the local Fro Yo place. Everywhere I go I get involved in conversations with total strangers who tell me stories about their car that "got away". They shake their heads in envy. Yes....and on the way home I "blow the cobwebs out' before I put her to bed for the night.....Life is good!

I agree that these cars - in fact - all cars are made to be driven including occasional visits to the upper rpm range and firmer than normal applications of the brakes. I've heard this described as an "Italian tune-up" and I have used that term jokingly w/local law enforcement... with mixed results.

I try to get out every Sunday morning early before the crowd. I drive around a couple of large lakes and a few good straights. That rolls out the tires and stretches the rods a little.
