Charlie Sheens 65 396

I was going through some old papers and found an Email I got in 2001 . It said Charlie Sheen had a 65 396 . The person who sent me the email said he bought the exhaust manifolds when Charlie had headers installed .
Does anybody know the vin of Charlies car or who owns it now ?
I also remember reading Peter Fonda had a 396 . any info on that one .

I know Peter Fonda had a 66 L-72 with an M-22 trans, one of the few 1966 cars that did. Dark blue if I recall. The price was right when I saw it for sale, but it's not like I had any $ when I was in grad school....

Back in the early 2000's I had a 396 yellow car and went to a vette show in a think south Jersey and the club that ran the show had many of their cars on display. One was a 396 coupe blue and the owner had the orig. bill of sale for the car showing Peter Fonda as the owner. When the show started a fellow showed up with a red 396 coupe. I owned the car for 12 years and went to many shows and never saw 3 396 cars at the same event. Never saw the 2 other cars again.

Hope it never gets judged -- exterior will dock it because of the wrong "sheen".

Patrick -- I seem to recall seeing the Fonda car at a Corvette/sports car dealer in downtown San Diego. IIRC, (and that's a stretch ) it was a 396 and Nassau blue, interior I forget. The window sticker (probably not orig.) showed M22, and there was a note pointing to the rarity of this option. The asking price at that time was under $25K. This must have been at least 1988 or later, as that's when I bought mine. I don't think I took a picture of it.

I believe the members name was Larry Fox that owned the car when it set beside my silver 450HP convertible at the National in Anaheim, I know Larry received the Duntov Award with it there, not sure when he sold it and do not remember the color of the interior but it was as I remember a Nassau Blue 396 with M22.

If it was the Larry Fox car . it was at Steam Boat in 1990 .vin # 23182 . I show it being sold in 06. I dont have any option information or int. color .

The Fonda Corvette coupe was blue/blue and Corvette Mike had it for sale in 1992 or so. It had mild flares that I'm sure have been fixed and was a cool car.

I had a blue/blue 396 coupe in '74. I'll see if I can locate the vin in my stuff...
