For those of us who want to have an original oil filter on our C-5's for judging, what oil filter (brand, number, etc.) was originally installed? Thanks, Wayne

Re: C5 Oil Filter
The final test judging for the C5 was done in Charlotte. The manuals will be up dated and sent for printing. If everything goes right they should be at the convention in Denver and official judging starts after the convention
I don't have the info at work but from memory I believe the oil filter is a PF 44. I am sure it is a blue AC filter.

Re: C5 Oil Filter
It may depend on the year. I have the original from Dad's 2002, which is blue, and then bought a case of matching filters.Vice-Chairman (West), Michigan Chapter NCRS

Re: C5 Oil Filter
Rick, I would like to buy a judging manual, but they have not been written yet! I've been doing this for many, many years, and I have a full set of judging manuals and AIM's. I am also the NW judging chairman and I have a full set of all judging manuals published by NCRS. So, I am starting to help write the judging manual for 2000-. If you have any useful input, we highly suggest that you forward it to the proper people.- Top

Wayne------
AC PF-44. Guaranteed! Also, I'm virtually certain it was the standard blue. Now, as to configuration of the label at that time, I can't tell you.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: C5 Oil Filter
I still have the original oil filter from my 2002. I can dig it out and take a couple of pictures if that would help.Larry

Re: C5 Oil Filter
John------
The original PF-47 filter from my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP has no red line either on the filter body or the label. However, I believe the label is different from the label used on SERVICE PF-47 filters. I have no 2004 era PF-47 filter to compare it too, though. The label on my original PF-47 has a bar code on it. I'm not sure, but I don't think the SERVICE filters had the bar code.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
