2004 Corvette, Gas Cap Door Locking Mechanism

Not sure what happened but the Gas Cap Door is not locking and looks like the locking mechanism to the right of the gas cap has broken. Has anyone on the DB experienced such a problem? Also, would someone post a picture of the locking mechanism? Guess I'm off to the Chevy Dealer, thanks.

I haven't had an issue with mine. Here is a photo from my '01 Z of the latch as installed in the car.

I've had them just stick already. A little spray lube might do the trick if it isn't truly broken.

There is a return spring that is most likely broken. Here is a thread on how to repair. Hope it helps.
