72 Exhaust Tip Gaps

OK ---- I have one more exhaust tip question ( sorry for being a pest but I am not finding anything in the AIM ). What should the gap be between the top of the 70-73 ( rectangular) exhaustst tips and the bezel as measured at the outer edge of the bezel ? Is it the same as the side to side gaps ?

Put new mufflers on. Someone had switched tips in the past to opposite side so I corrected everything when I rebuilt suspension. Here's a couple pics. Basically even on top and both sides.

I center the tips in the bezel about 3/4" on the top but make sure both sides are the same. I have spent four hours on this job making adjustments.

How about this?
Looks to be centered side to side in the bezel and then about the same dimension from the top of the bezel.

Hi Lyle,
I wish that convertible belonged to me, but alas, it doesn't.
I did get to help judge the Operations Section on it though!
It's a very striking color and car!
