Can anyone explain why the Corvette Shop Manuals for C2s are organized so that '66 and '67 are lumped in with the C3 model years? It seems like the information in the 66-82 version is heavily skewed to C3 models (understandably). I'm just curious why there isn't a manual for '63 through '67? Seems like that would be more logical, but there must be a story to this somewhere.

Re: Corvette Shop Manual
Steven,
You are correct, that manual is VERY generic. Around 1980 GM began to issue a year-specific, Corvette-only Shop Manual. Prior to that, Corvette was included, as just another car, in GM's year-specific Passenger Car Service Manuals. These year-specific manuals are available from the major Corvette aftermarket vendors. Paper copies may/may-not be available, but copies on CD are easy to find. Below is a link to Mid-America.
What ever vendor you choose, it is important to note that the service information you want is contained in SEVERAL paper manuals. There are separate "OVERHAUL" manuals, "CHASSIS" manuals and "FISHER BODY" manuals consolidated on these CDs.
Paper manuals are pretty easy to acquire at Carlisle. EBay may be your friend - just remember you'll want both the OVERHAUL and CHASSIS manuals.Judging Chairman Mid-Way USA (Kansas) Chapter- Top
