73 Wiper Blade Holders Question

Is there any chance some later 73's had the dull silver anco blade holder instead of the dull black trico? I believe some 74's came with silver anco holders YES my car has the dull silver ancos on it! However, my wiper arms are correct for the car

I would look for some trico holders as you may get a deduction. Their is only one trico style that is correct and I have no picture.

yes, I've been looking, I guess it was just wishful thinking . They are really expensive, especially the correct ones with everything black including the the blade runner and horizontal lines running the length of the blade. Most online are black but the blade runner is silver. I Have them on my list to acquire later on down the road. I need to slow down with all this and just enjoy the car, especially now that it is Vette season This can really be overwhelming by adding stress to both the body and the wallet!

At the Regional in Florida Tom Keen showed me a set of wiper blades with the black spine that he has reproduced. They looked good to me for 1969 to 1972. I am not sure if they would work for 1973, since I know almost nothign about 1973 and newer Corvettes. I did not have a magnifying glass handy, so I only looked at them in the plastic packaging. I did not ask him how much. Even if they are not 100% correct, and Tom's stuff is usually pretty good, you shouldn't lose more than a point or two for them. You might want to check them out. I'm pretty sure the 73 blade holders/blades are the same as 69-72. 16 inch Tricos, everything is dull black with "Trico" on one end. The blades have patent numbers with two raised ribs below them running the length. The biggest difference in the earlier years is the washer tubing in how it is attached and what it is made of. Early 73's used the metal tube but later years started using rubber washer tubing. Some 74s used dull silver Anco blade holders like the ones I have on my car now. I thought maybe some might have showed up on some 73s, but Lyle answered that earlier.
