Gauge Rebuilding

The temperature gauge on my 1982 has gone bad. I need some recommendations on a reliable place to have it rebuilt. Yes, it happened on the way to a Regional judging and I took the appropriate hit in ops.

The connections checked out OK? A reading may be from a failed sending unit? I don't know about your 82's computer and if it uses temperature information from the sending unit.

Thanks for the recommendation BUT the gauge is available from many sources new at a price that will beat the time it takes to rebuild one. Part number is Delco 8993702. Price? $75.00 plus shipping.
