I have a nice NOS Rag Joint I am going to use. The nuts and bolts are of today's standard. I would like to use the original "WB" bolts. One of them is the copper type that holds the ground or static strap. Can it be plated? Has anyone done this. Thank you,Jeff image.jpg

Re: Rag Joint Copper Bolt
Jeff i did this a couple of months ago beed blast the bolt get it nice and clean. go to caswell plating and get there copper plating kit or get some copper sulfate a piece of copper and a small step down transformer from a cell phone charger or even an alkaline battery will work look online for the setup diagrahm and the correct milliamps you will need, match it up to a step down transformer the current is usually listed on them and plate it it takes a couple of miniutes depending on the current and distance of the bolt from the copper. if your in the nj area i would be happy to help you with it. so easy did it as a 5th grade science project for my son.

Re: Rag Joint Copper Bolt
Tried a few different ways and they just didn't plate enough to my liking. I appreciate all the suggestions. I said I would respond back. Brought a bunch of original bolts and brackets to be plated along with the rag joint bolt and the front snubber nut that were plated copper back in the day.very pleased with the final result.image.jpg68 L79 Convertible: Triple Black: Work In Progress, Body off.
