I think we got off track a little bit. I was referring to the states that don't have "Model" on the title, do they have it on the registration? From a law enforcement stance, the year - make - model IS, or should be, tied to the license plate. That info. is required BEFORE even approaching a vehicle during a traffic stop.
Other than the Texas title posted here, I've never seen one that didn't have the model on it and I've bought from many different states. As far as bringing into my state, if you have to have it inspected, all they are interested in is the VIN . I've never had to have one inspected though. Usually they only inspect specially constructed/kit cars.
