    1972 Jack Handle Stowage?

When I look in my assembly manual. the page that details the jack stowage shows the jack handle sliding through the jack base. I know I have the anti-rattle bushing for the wrench end of the jack handle, but what keeps the rest of it from banging around? Its not a tight fit at all. Just slides all over the place.

    Thanks
    Scott

That's how it was. However, there are a various numbers of orientations that the jack and jack handle can be installed in the jack compartment. One of those orientations doesn't allow for much movement of the jack and handle.

      Thanks Joe.
I have considered just placing it snug up next to the jack and letting the hold down spring keep it in place. I just thought I might have been missing some sort of padding or maybe there was a bolt that went through on of the holes on the handle.

Scott, If your dealing with a rattle you can always slip a piece of rubber over the handle, or fabricate something that will work.
