    Ralph and Stu,

    I found the cup plug after removing the intake manifold and probing with a magnet inside the exhaust crossover in the head (drivers side).

    I did not remove the exhaust manifold, I worked through the little hole at the intake/head interface and found the plug in the head.

      Tim;

      Believe Ralph mentioned he used a vacuum on the ports when he had the manifold off. Obviously this may not have been adequate. I use magnets a lot. They have saved me many times. I specially like the one I have that has a magnet in the middle of an LED flashlight. The magnet is on an expandable and flexible wand which you can get into many places. I imagine probing the ports in an iron head is lots of fun. Glad I never had to deal with those plugs.
