Great time to be in Boston. First, I'd check the Red Sox schedule. Fenway park and BU are next to each other in Kenmore Square. Game day is a very busy time. Driving should be easy. Mass Turnpike to Storrow Drive to BU. You can stay in Newton or Brighton or Cambridge. They are all 15 minutes away. If you want to step up Boston is full of high end hotels. Busy time of the year so you need to book now. My favorite Pub is Cornwall's in Kenmore Square. If you go say hi to Bill Moran (the owner) for me if you go.
college graduations are a special time. Enjoy and congratulations.- Top

Re: question for those in Boston area
I would suggest that you prepare yourself for some pretty aggressive drivers. Being timid and tentative is not rewarded in Boston. If you see a Quebec plate give them a wide berth. They are the only ones who give Massachusetts drivers a run for their money.- Top

Re: question for those in Boston area
Welcome to Boston! That is, you're welcome, and we're glad to have you. But your car isn't. While that's true in most major cities, it's more so in Boston. It's not a car friendly place. A car can be a liability to getting around. The drivers are homicidal. The streets are confusing. And there's no parking.
Are you driving from Dallas? You'll be much happier if you can find a hotel with parking in which to leave your car for the time you are here. Then walk; take public transportation; or, cabs to where you want to go. If you're flying into Boston, the airport is close to the city. Take a cab from the airport to your hotel. Sure, you can stay in a suburban hotel about 1 hour from the city and drive in. But then you'll still have the driving, directions, and parking problems. Consider these items when you make your decision.
I hope you're able to stay a while and see the sights. There's lots to see.- Top
