54 engine oil???

I'm getting ready to fire up a 54 engine after being rebuilt, and I am looking for recommendations on what type and weight oil to use for break in and longer use.

The car will be used in Ohio and not really driven in below freezing temps. I was thinking of Rotella and maybe a straight 30 weight. The engine had a total rebuilt several years ago. Should a lighter weight or multi grade be used for start up and break in? I will pre-lube before start up using the oil pump.

...any 15W-40 CJ-4. Also use a bottle of GM EOS. Change the filter after initial run-in of 30-60 minutes, assuming it has one, and top off with CJ-4. If no filter change the oil with CJ-4 at about 300-600 miles, and there is no further need for EOS.
