Original C3 Tie Rod Ends - Anyone Have Photos?

I have disassembled my entire power steering set up from underneath my '72 base convertible for a refresh, prior to the season start. I want to replicate originality best I can, so I'm hoping that someone here has some photos of known-original tie rod ends. I'd like to compare to mine to determine whether they are original or replacement. I'm particularly interested to see the flat face of the part where the zerk fitting installs. I spent about an hour in archives this morning with no success.

I hope you can help. Thanks

I've posted photos previously of NOS tie rod ends. In this case, these should be identical to the ones used in PRODUCTION. These photos should be somewhere in the archives.

Here's one from my '65 I'm pretty certain the design didn't change from C2 to C3.

            Don,

I've updated my signature with a different link now for my 72, and these photos should show what you need.

Otherwise here are photos of a very low mile car:

Re: Original C3 Tie Rod Ends - Anyone Have Photos?

Thanks to all for the photos and links. They are just what I needed. Joe, I found your (2008) photos when I searched for "PRODUCTION tie rod ends".

With these, I think I have all I need to determine my tie rod ends are not original to the car. I have a set of salvaged original ends, but I'm not sure I want to put unknown components back and risk having to tear it all down again when/if they fail.

Ball's in my court now. Thanks again.

                Hi Don,

My suggestion is to look for a low mileage set of tie rods. I found a very low mileage set petty cheap and they were in very nice shape.

Reproductions of the originals are now available. How good they are from an original configuration and functionality standpoint I do not know.
