History of the Small Block V8

There is a short article on the internet today titled, "History of the Small Block V8". Nothing terribly new or exciting in the article but there is an embedded video in the article that shows the tear down and complete rebuild of a small block Chevy (looks like a 283). The video is short but it runs very fast and shows virtually all the steps in the rebuild including some elaborate machine shop work - which is perhaps the most interesting part of the video. If you've ever had the numbers milled off of your block pad you can see how it was done.

I note that they decked the block and installed hardened seats during the rebuild.

Breather in the valve cover. Must be a 350 ci.
