I have an RC-15 on my Harrison tank...judging manual says RC-26 is needed. Is there a functional difference between these caps? Both are apparently rated at 15 lbs. thanks

Yes, there is a functional difference between the RC-15 and RC-26. The RC-26 has features designed to minimize galvanic (dis-similar metal) corrosion between steel and aluminum. These features include an aluminum rivet and a non-conductive insulating material. The RC-26 should be used on ALUMINUM supply tanks. You didn't say which Harrison supply tank you have. If it's the aluminum tank as used on many 63-72 Corvettes, you need the RC-26. If it's the BRASS supply tank used on 1969-72 big blocks with A/C, then the RC-15 will suffice.
By the way, the RC-15 is discontinued by GM and replaced by the RC-26. The RC-26 can be used for any application which originally used the RC-15 (but the RC-15 should not be used for applications originally using the RC-26 or "307" caps). In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
