    65 heater blower motor

Can anyone suggest who rebuilds heater blower motors
the heater blower motor in my 65 works fine in medium and high but not in low.
Ive also tried hooking up another heater blower motor and the same thing happens, low speed barely works, both medium and high are fine.
Does anyone think this could be a wiring problem instead of a rebuild issue??
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Replace the heater blower motor resistor. This part was last available from GM under GM #3929052. It's now discontinued but the part is available in reproduction for about 25 bucks.

Joe already tried that with no success.

Then I might suspect a problem with the blower switch. The fact that you've had two blower motors in the car and had the same problem with both pretty much rules out a problem with the blower motor. In addition, the problem you describe does not sound like a blower motor problem anyway.

If you finally decide that the blower motor needs work, then this is one guy that can do the job. He has been a Hemming's advertiser for probably 30 years. I have not personally had any work done by him yet, but would use him if needed.

There's only one hot feed to the motor for all speeds, so the "no high speed" issue has to be with either the resistor, blower switch, or wiring.

John no low speed but probably same difference. The resistor was changed, could try it again
I understand the capacitor eliminates static to the radio could it have anything to do with the low speed not working??

The capacitor is only there for radio noise suppression. It has absolutely nothing to do with the functionality of the blower motor.

                    Rocco,

Have you compared your low speed to other C-2's????? Low speed just isn't a lot of RPM's and certainly won't blow your skirt up!

Joe Lucia that's what I thought and have read numerous times, thx
Joe Ray when on low speed you can barely hear the blower motor, if any sound at all and I cannot feel any air coming out of vent. Im going to try an multimeter to see what kind of current if any is achieved at low speed. Medium and high work fine. Any info on what kind of on what sort of readings I should expect
