I taped every hole on the frame. I'll be using a wand to apply the internal frame paint, un-taping appropriate holes where needed to get each internal section.

How many holes did I tape off ?

It was more than 50, and less than 225.

Loren, I'm not sure where it lived, but I did find 3 holes more than AO Smith punched. Only they were jagged instead of round.

Joe, I sure hope the JG does NOT include my total, as we'll need more than one frame to get a average.

If your eyes are good you can see the green tape in my pictures, but not the bottom.

Hint.....more than 100, and not counting the frame horns up front which aren't "internal".

I'll give in by Wednesday.

I finished the black internal coating today. Sometime tomorrow I'll remove all tape and get a recount. I'll post it sometime tomorrow.

I'd just like to know what type of wand you used to paint the inside of the frame. I tried a pump up garden sprayer and made a disaster of the project.

Tom, I painted the top and sides yesterday. In the process, I found one more under the DS #4 body mount !!!! Total adjusted to 197.

I'd just like to know what type of wand you used to paint the inside of the frame. I tried a pump up garden sprayer and made a disaster of the project.

Tracy, I used this kit from Eastwood. It worked very well. Two wands are included. The tip I used has 6 nozzles. One on the end and 5 on the perimeter. I had to thin the materials a bit to get a good spray pattern.

Hi Tracy, buried in the main thread I show what I used. It's the Eastwood Internal Frame Coating.

I used the bulk quart with the gun. I bought 2 but only needed one, slightly thinned to help it through the wand nozzle easier.
