Like to ride out me vette years with a lt-1--- 70 vintage. Never heard of an machine shop stamping there own number, but thats what I was told. True? Hows the stamp look otherwise?

Your stamp looks very good and original. The second stamp is certainly a machine shop probably stamping it to identify a customer or to mark it for warrantee purposes. The good thing is that it made it out of a machine shop without being decked.
