      What you see in your photos. The fiberglass of the underbody was not primed or painted but received some overspray when the rest of the body was painted. The red in your photos would probably be overspray, assuming your car is red. There may also be some black overspray in the wheel wells but if you are restoring for judging you will re-apply the black-out in those areas and will apply undercoat over parts of the wheel wells. You should be able to clean the dirt and grease from the underbody without disturbing the red overspray.

      Photo attached shows underside of rear deck as it appeared when the body was removed from the frame. The red paint seems to have come through the opening for the gas spout.

            Another example from the grill area where blackout was applied after the car was painted red. Not exactly "overspray" because the blackout was applied intentionally.

              The red that you see on the underbody composite is the red oxide primer used on all cars. It is very durable and almost impossible to remove completely without sanding.
