    Is this an Original Headmark?

Not mine, but I have the same headmark on my water outlet (thermostat housing) bolt on my '72. Haven't seen one like this before, so I'm wondering if it is a replacement?

    Thanks for the help,

      Thanks Floyd,
Interesting thread, I missed that one. It is the exact same headmark as the bolts on my smog pump, just as someone suggested.

And how come I can never find the guy at Carlisle with the coffee can of bolts

Re: Is this an Original Headmark?

I would have to go find the box I stored my smog pump in and the bolts I purchased from Bill Hodel but I *think* I was told those "dog bone" bolts were commonly used by one of the big smog pump remanufacturers - like Cardone.

        Perhaps Bill will chime in.

Re: Is this an Original Headmark?

Very common started showing up in mid sixties but was widely used in the late sixties and early seventies. So a 72 would be right on.
