They sell a 1/8 spacer to space out the backing plate from the knuckle to get the brake hose to clear.They are sold 2 at a time .Wouldn't you need a spacer on all four to keep the backing plate true to the drum.

I'm going from memory here. I know that the regular brake backing plates spacers are shorter than the RPO684/687 spacers. I assume that's why they sell the 1/8" spacers-to make up the difference.
Phil, I think I need to disagree with you here. There are two spacers on each front installation, so you would need 4 per car.
i just can't remember if the spacers are on the bolts with the castellated nuts, or the other pair of bolts at each spindle support to backing plate.- Top

I stand corrected, there are 4 per car (the older I get The better I used to be) on the upper bolts with nut and lock washers none on the bottom with the castellated nuts. Phil 8063- Top
