Re: 1967 wiper switch
Keith sounds like the wiper switch is working, if your hearing a clicking when the button pushed that a good sound. the washer pump solenoid is what your hearing, you like have something with the washer pump that is not engaging. there is a gear that should be rotating when the wiper motor is running and the solenoid is a magnet that is what pulls up on a flipper that starts the pump on its rotating sequence of about 5 or 6 squirts. it may even be rotating and the pump may just need a prime to get going. I take a old style ketchup bottle and squirt water into the supply hose to get going.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Re: 1967 wiper switch
Keith, Make sure you have power at the brown wire at the wiper motor and the other wire is ground( dk blue) when the button is pushed. just take a 12v test light and install clip on one wire and touch the other wire and have someone push the button if the test light lights you have a power and ground circuit complete to washer pump. this a quick easy test.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Re: 1967 wiper switch
As luck would have it went to go work on it and everything thing works as it should. Did not trouble shoot anything Then as luck would have it the door latches on both sides gave me a fit. But after lubing the latch wheel very well it all worked again. It worked fine the first Hindi put it together. I am beginning to think this car hates me. I just hope it all works like it should the next two months.- Top

Re: 1967 wiper switch
Keith, This happens quite a bit. But having this happen the day before a event can raise your blood pressure. been there and done that a few times . those items that are giving you a problem its best to make test runs a few weeks before the event, operations is the most important part of the judging event. I have some ops. at judging events, and you'll be surprised how many times someone has said to me I tested everything yesterday before the event.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Re: 1967 wiper switch
It happend to my dad and I before. Everything worked the day before. Get to the meet and something stupid fails. If restoring a car was easy everyone would do it. At least that's what I tell myself.- Top
