    Seat Belts - OEM

I am trying to locate a distributor who sells OEM type of Seat Belts for a 1965 Corvette. I have sent back 2 seat belt assemblies do to the fact that the Buckle is completely different that the original in color? My interior is Nassau (Bright Blue) but when I receive my new belts, both from Seat Belt Solutions and Specialist Corvette the webbing is fine but the Buckle is painted a smooth, shinny baby blue not a metallic blue/grey like my original? When I spoke to Solutions they said this is all that they have in a bright blue. I am restoring my newly acquired 1965 Roadster back to show room condition and need a seat belt replacement. Any suggestion's where I might be able to get a OEM type of seat belt assembly choosing not to have my original belts restored? I have tried all the main distributors that I was able to find. The pictures, like in the Mid American Corvette on-line photos, shows the correct color/type of belts but this is not what they send out from Solutions! If anyone knows where I can get a new, reproductions set of seat belts, that look like the original, I would appreciate the referrals. Summer coming and this is the last thing I need to do on my fully restored to original classic corvette. Thanks, Guys....Harry

I do not believe you will find any distributor that sells original type OEM seatbelts.

There are two or three folks that will restore, fix and/or replace what you need.

Try Charlie Santorelli at Seatbelt Sity. He advertises in the Driveline. He does superior work, many of us are happy customers.

Only call him during his advertised hours.

Clete Marquardt (one of our members) has a lot of original webbing and does an outstanding job on seat belt restoration. Phone 610-678-1239

If you found seat belts that are acceptable to you except for the blue clasp then just replace the replacement clasps with the original blue clasp from your car. But restored originals is the BEST way to go.

                Harry,
I am not sure if you have resolves your seat belt issues or nut, but I was not sure. by reading your initial post, if you have original you are trying to get new belt material and you have the buckles and other parts, or are trying to find a complete set.
The reason I ask is I have a set of 65 belts sitting out in the garage. They are black, but the buckles and other parts are there. Well, the main buckles are there.
I do not know anything about them. They do say "Corvette' on therm along with "Irving Model 772 COR-H" along with 1966 and then , 51-A-65.
I am not sure they will help, but I figured I would let you know what I have.
                Best of luck,
                Monte
