    Jack wrench...........what year?

    Good Saturday afternoon all,

I've rediscovered a Corvette jack wrench I've had for eons.....can't recall what years wrench is applicable to. Wrench handle has no holes and has the 'o' on the wrench head. Any speculation? Thanks.

Without the exact measurements I would guess a 63.

The 63 had no holes, I just like to measure things to be sure.

          Michael,

My calibrated eye can detect that is a 63-64E jack handle! Well calibrated to 0.0001 anyway!!!!!

          Right Harry!!!!!

Good eye Joe Ray....no pun intended. As long as I got you on the horn the jack wrench with one hole on the handle (top side), what year would be it's application?

It would be a late 64 Jack Handle!

According to the article in the Spring 2013, Vol 39 #4, on jacks and related, the 65 wrench had one hole in the top and the 66-67 has three holes. The 66 TIM&JG also says 3 holes for 66.

The JG does say three hole but many believe it to be incorrect and that 66 at least early had only one hole.

I understand the same Russ. Many '66 owners, myself as one, have a one hole. Possibly the the 3 hole wrench was phased in during late production, don't know. From what I've read the factoid in the judging manual may not be quite factual.

Just please don't tell me i have to go looking for another wrench . I have a late 66 (July) and didn't have a wrench or jack with it. Purchased both recently and got a wrench to agree with the JG.

Don, You don't have to at this point as the JG says three hole. It's not know for sure for even early 66 to say nothing of late 66. You would think by this time with these cars being judged for so many years that there would have been enough un-messed with 66s surface that we would know for sure.
