    66 Exhaust shields

Can someone post a good picture of correct orientation of 66 heat shields . Or label these Right and Left ,..... front and Rear.
Yet another good example of poor note taking upon dis-assembly !

Also I did go through the archives , and I can find pics for almost every possible configuration !!!

    Thanks ,
    Jim

Jim, I resurrected your thread because I find myself in the same exact situation, and I have identical shields as pictured. Can you now label your picture as you originally requested - right and left...front and rear?? I currently have the top one pictured installed on the drivers' side with the front being the end to the left of your picture. I have the bottom shield pictured installed on the passenger side, again with the front being the end to the left of your picture. They fit OK, but I'm not sure this is correct, as it puts the screws on the outboard side ... doesn't look quite right.

      Thank you.

      Rick.

Many thanks to Jim Durham for providing me with clear photos of the installed shields on one of his beautiful cars. This group is the best!

Glad you got the help you needed .

IIRC Jim labeled my picture right ,left, front and back , or I did after he sent me his pictures . Either way, I looked for that labeled picture today so I could post it here and help the next guy who searched ,but could not find it . Again , IIRC I found pictures showing them in almost every possible position and direction.

              Jim

Thanks for your efforts Jim. This agrees with the chassis pictures Jim Durham sent me and reconfirms that I had them on wrong. I'm sure some other forum user will also benefit from your labeled picture in the future.

                  Best, Rick.

Thanks to you - Rick and Jim - for putting this picture up on the forum. My car didn't have any heat shields on it when I received it so I had no idea at all which shield went where and how each was supposed to be oriented. The judging guide was zero help and the AIM didn't help me much either (except for the measurement).

Thanks again for putting this up.
