    67 wiper arm finish

I was going to buy a new set of wiper arms for my 67, but noticed that they are really pricey, figured I could probably restore them myself, the judging manual says they have a satin finish, how would you achieve this look on. The stainless part, and what about the cast end it would have to be plated, was it satin as well?

Ok thanks for all the help, I guess I will just buy some new ones and see what they look like when they get here.

      Dave,
The satin , or hopefully "brushed finish" if they are the same as a 66 , on stainless is pretty easy to achieve. Just use a scothbrite pad on them and buff a little. You might want to try it on the ones you have and see how nice you can make them, especially if you are considering new ones anyway .

Well Jim, thank you so much for your kind reply, I realize that my question is not as exiting as , say " how long have you owned your corvette" or " what do you think about this stamp pad" but I thought the forum was called " technical discussion " I took them down to the plating shop and told them to give them a satin finish and they said they could do that, I just wasn't sure about how you were supposed to finish the cast ( plated) end pieces, but they said they can make them satin as well. I did search the archives , and there just isn't too much info there, that I could find at least. But seriously thanks for your advise Jim.
