Exterior left mirror

Looking for a date correct mirror for my 75. I have info on Ajax and Donnelley but nothing on the manufacture company dca. I've found a mirror dated 5- dca(r)-1. Would this translate to jan75?

Jim, DCA is Donnelly Corporation of America (DCA), the same company as Donnelly Mirror Incorporated (DMI). The name change occurred in 1984 and at that point they created the new logo (DCA with the R in the circle). In your case, the mirror is from May, 1991. The format is Month-DCA (R)-Year.

Jim, The date as it reads would be May 81 the first digits is the month and second is the year.

James.....most all of your repoppers can get you a correctly dated mirror glass for the mirror. Got mine through Keen Parts.

While that's true, reproduction glass may not pass judging. Notice the differences in the attached picture.

You are correct however that can be said of any reproduction part on your car. Reproduction parts are and always will be compared to original parts. Due diligence should always be practiced if this important to you. I can say the mirror glass I purchased through Keen Parts did pass judging with no issues or questions.
