57 corvette fuel tank

Could you tell me if all 57 vettes had a vented gas tank. I just purchased one that does not have a vented tank, but I remember my first 57vette, in 1964, did not have a vented tank. Also if it should have a vented tank can I make my tank vented?

Roy not all 57 corvettes came with a vented tank.
Early 57s up to about Vin # 1900 would not have a vented tank.
You could replace the tank and install a vented tank with the required vent tube to the fuel filler area.

I can do it cheap for you to save a few bucks.

If you use a non vented tank be sure to use a vented (early) gas cap.

Actually he stole the color from the Patriots ball boy. Deflate - paint. The NFL is currently doing and investigation. Should be done in 3 months.
