1981 Vette Rear Window Defroster repairs?

    Hello,
My 81 has multiple sections of the rear window defroster missing. I bought a Permatex repair kit for 15.00 and was able top repair 2 of the maybe 10 lines that are missing before I ran out of the paint. At this rate it will take at least 60.00 worth of the repair kits to fix it. I would like top find somwhere to buy the paint in a larger quanity. I looked online to no avail. Even bought a can of SEM Copper weld though primer in hopes that it was the same thing but it is not conductive even though it says that it is on the can. Does anyone have any Ideas??
    Thanks in advance,
    Bill

Bill, I think most of the repair kits were only made to do minor grids repairs. I have seen grids missing big areas from things like razor blade when removing stickers from rear windows, which is time for a window replacement.

    Bill, try www.frostfighter.com

Thanks Ed. I had already seen them but its not much more than the permatex kit I got ( I think.) I just ordered a silver paint pen on ebay for circuit bd repairs that says it will work for windows too. WIll give it a try and if it doesnt do well will try the frost fighter. I may go ahead and order some of it too just to see what works best. Im trying to get the car going to sell so don't want to buy a new window. I wouldn't bother at all but in order for the A/C blower High speed realy to come on it grounds through the rear window defroster if you have one! That way when you turn on the defroster the Heater Blower aoutomaticaly slows down. So I either have to move the ground for the relay or fix the defroster. I decided to try to fix the defroster instead of miswiring the car. Eveerytime I fix something on this car I find something else wrong. Its had way to many midnight repairs in its life not to mention it was a theft recovery so it has really been patched together! Wish me luck. At least Ive got it running well it had an 850 DP holly on it which was a little bit too big for the mild 350 thats in it. Put a 650 dp on it and now its a little more useable.
