'72 Air conditioner Accumulator/Dryer

I converted the air conditioning system on my '72 to R134late last summer.At that time, Iinstalled a new dry/accumulator. I'm nothappy with the results and want to convert back to R12.Do I need to replace the dryer beforeconverting back to R12?Where can youbuy a dryer for R12?All that I havefound say it is for use with R134.

I would definitely replace the accumulator/dryer. Among other reasons, it just doesn't cost that much. Use GM #3046236.

The real problem is that you may also have to replace other parts such as seals, o-rings, etc. You must remove all of the oil from the system and replace it with the proper oil for R-12.

The dryer will work for either Freon. The system must be completely flushed and cleaned before changing back again.
