1st Owner Racer Found

My wife & I have just discovered (2 1/2 yrs research) we are owners of Canadian Champion road, hill climb, auto cross racer Laurie Craig's 1964 Corvette coupe. Car was 1966 overall winner Westport race track. Laurie Craig crewed for Stirling Moss & Carrol Shelby. Stirling Moss also drove this corvette around Westwood track.
We have also documented another 12 owners of this winning corvette and none of the other owners knew of the corvette's racing blood line. We spoke personally to Mr. Laurie Craig now 84 years old and he confirmed the VIN #40837s100315 as being his.
The car is a driver in excellent condition and nearly all original.

VERY EXCELLENT. I am cleaning up the post in the REGISTRY OF CORVETTE RACE CARS per your new notes to me. I look forward to a complete update on the car and photo history. How did the car ever get to Alaska? I am sure there is a great 12 owner story here.

Original owner racer Found

My wife & I have just discovered we are the owners of the 1964 red corvette coupe Laurie Craig raced/won at Westwood race track, BC and others in the mid 1960's. There are several Westwood videos on the web with this car racing. Mr. Craig told us personally that Stirling Moss also drove this corvette around the Westwood track.

Car is very original . Was not modified much for racing. Talked personally with the owner/ racer Laurie Craig and he confirmed all about car. We have discovered at least 13 owners so far. Apparently no one was aware of the cars winning race history except Mr Craig. We will be flying over to interview Mr Craig personally on video. He also has original GM spare parts for the vette. We have searched constantly for 2 1/2 years for car history .

We are flying down to meet and video Mr. Craig ASAP. He sounds full of piss & vinegar and mind sharp as an old racer.
My wife & I are planning on documenting his racing history as well as the 64 vette. Hopefully this will lead to a possible book/ documentary on this very cool discovery.

My wife & I received absolutely no help or positive response from DMV, National auto insurance or dealerships.
Only help & leads came from guys on Corvette Forum, NCRS & Westwood 50 assoc.

We are seeking any additional information & pictures concerning this corvette and Mr Laurie Craig.

Stephanie is the name of the corvette as well as my wife in the picture. Both are vintage 50 years old and picture was taken 2-10-2015.

According to Laurie Craig the 1st owner/ racer the car was original 365 hp with Holly carb.
We are going with what the original owner says. Later it may have been an FI but not in 1964 or now.
