Candidates for the 1965 Poster Car for the 2015 Convention

    Hi all,

I saw John Waggoner's call for 1965 Corvette candidates for the 2015 Convention. So, I just wanted any of you wanna-be's out there to not waste your time because any one of these three 1965 Corvettes I submit would certainly beat out anything else.

    I submit for your approval:

1965 Corvette. Green/Saddle Tan. 32,000 original miles. Just a little lichen growing on the body. The owner parked it because of a caliper problem, but never found the time to get back and work on it. Just make that quick fix and air up the tires and you're ready to cruise. Oh, and you'll have to license it since the plate expired in August 1975.

1965 Corvette. No, it is not green. It is Maroon. That's just the algae growing on the paint. Black interior. Sidepipes, but not a real sidepipe car but, with that sidepipe sound, who cares? You'll have to license this one, as well, since it's license expired in February 1989.

1965 Corvette. Yellow with black interior. Not sure about the sidepipes, but the engine is a numbers-matching 327/300 with power brakes and tele wheel. Just put the driver door back on and you're ready to rock & roll!

    'Nuff said!

How about Wayne Midkiff's unrestored yellow "last 396", #23564? Favor us with a picture, Wayne.

              It appears to be a 66, or a 65 with 66 hubcaps.

Thanks for the pictures. I'd like to get my hands on any of those cars!

I've tried to buy all three to no avail!
