    a/c compressor shield

Has anyone with factory a/c ever have a problem with that compressor shield that was made to protect the hood from the oil that flies off the clutch end? My shield rattles against my hood that makes a terrible sound. I cannot tell how much room I have to work with?

Did not know that shields were on 1966 Corvettes.

There was a person who invented that shield for that purpose. I think his name may have been Kevin Finney?

Here you go, Harry. Rick's Camaro Parts a division of Ecklers. I've used this on both my '65 and '67 factory A/C coupes.

They were not installed at St. Louis. These are aftermarket retro-fit pieces. Not a bad idea, but not original.

I have used one for years on different Corvettes. I have always made my own and never had a problem. Just keep it close to the pulley (1 inch or so) and it should not come near the hood. Good luck, Don H.

I will readjust my shield, must not have it low enough. Thanks for the retorts!
