on the 69-72 the standard interior was a comfort weave design, is this a porus material or is it just fake holes...I want to wash and clean animal pee and need to know if it soaked in to foam, thanks.

Re: comfort weave seats question
If it's the original to the car interior, then it is porous (real holes). Most of the aftermarket seat covers in comfort weave have the look of holes but they are not porous.Leif

Re: comfort weave seats question
Michael------
If they are the original seat covers, the Comfort Weave is an actual WOVEN vinyl material. As such, it's quite "porous". In fact, the occupants' perspiration soaks down through the woven vinyl and into the padding sewn-in below the vinyl. This causes the foam rubber in the padding to eventually rot. That, in turn, causes the incessant dust condition in the cars. So, yes, the animal urine will also soak down through the Comfort Weave and into the padding. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: comfort weave seats question
thanks, guess I will just clean off seats and see what damage is under the covers when I pull them off in the summer, was going to replace foam anyway in future but will move up my timeline, thanks again.Michael
