1971 strut rod bushing

Does anyone know what GM part # is correct for 1971 strut rod bushings? I have in my inventory 3829519 and am ready to install in some strut rods,, just don"t want to put the wrong ones in. Thanks in advance for your input. Phil

Phil, if you google that part no. it comes up as being correct for 75 thru.82 model years, If you have the correct diameter strut rods (1 1/4 round) these bushing will not work. GM replacement strut rods where slightly bigger(1 1/2 round) so If your strut rod are the bigger one these will work, many of the originals may have been replaced at some time. If your going to have car judged you may want to find the correct ones if you have the bigger ones.

Assuming the strut rods are original to the car (i.e. requiring 1-1/4" OD bushings), you require GM bushings #3775762. The ones you have, GM #3829519, are for the 1-3/8" OD bushings used for the 1974-82 strut rods. However, these rods were also used to SERVICE 1963-74 Corvettes after the mid 70's.
