    65 Telescopic column and lights

Took the 65 for an ministry of transport exam (MOT) but had a failure in the rear LHS brake light, after removing the ac ducting to get to the brake switch checking that over, and searching the forums - it pointed me in the direction of the indicator, however like a kid with a new toy I had excitedly shown everyone inc the postman of the technology of the telescopic steering wheel it was then I remembered pulling the wheel further back than its org position - I pushed the wheel back forward and hey the LHS brake light comes on - I've noticed a small wiring loom Corvette America part # 44981 the turn signal switch am kind of thinking that's what I need ?

as usual any help pointers would be good

thanks freezing cold over here, working in a cold garage Keith

it sounds like the wiring for the turn single switch is getting pinched somewhere from the bell of the column where it passes were it telescopes. I would investigate further

As fair as I know the harnes is not separate from the turn single switch.
