    1979 seat question

Does the 79 model have a locking seat back? I cannot find a release button anywhere, and the seat back folds forward freely, and does not lock in place. I'm used to the 68-72's, so this is new to me. Thanks for the help. Mark

As far as I can recall (I had a new '79), your seats are acting 'normal'... I do NOT remember any seat back locks on a '79.

The split back bucket seats have inertia locks designed to lock the seat back when deceleration is experienced.
