Astro-ventilation assy attachment to rear bulkhead

I know what the AIM says, and I read old threads on this. I'm working on a 71 convertible, non-air car, which has the assembly pop-riveted to the bulkhead rather than screws through clips. There is nothing that stands out to me that this has been worked on before. The car hasn't been on the road for 35+ years. Anyone else seen these riveted? Car was built second day after the strike. Original carpet in rear.
    Thanks

The Vent is pop riveted to the bulkhead .The rivets are available from a good hardware . Not a hard job , except getting the pop rivets all in .Clean all parts and put in seals , rivet it together and done .

      Hi Mike,
I'm curious…. are the rivet heads on the interior side of the bulkhead or facing the gas tank?
If they're set from the interior side are there flat washers on the gas tank side to keep the rivets from pulling back through the fiberglass?
      Regards,
      Alan

Added: I just checked the AIM and my notes and the rivet called out for use in that location on convertibles #9424862 is a pop-rivet as Gordon indicated, and it's shown being installed from the inside. What keeps it from just smashing the hole in the fiberglass as it's set?

So, on non-air-conditioned 69-72's, the flappers attach with rivets for convertibles, and screws for coupes. On C-60 cars, they are not flappers, but sealed units. So are those fastened by rivets on convertibles and screws on coupes? Thinking about wording for the 70-72 JG.
