Corvette Windshields

Anybody know anything about a company selling windshields on E-Bay under the name "autoglass4u"? They have no shipping, you pick up windshield at one of 107 locations across the country. Very good prices, claim OEM windshield is made by Pittsburgh Glass Works. PGW website makes the same claims. Seems like they make a lot of windshields for 50's on up to newer models.
Any info or dealings with them would be greatly appreciated.

Is it clear or tinted?
In which country is this made?

Their listing says tinted, originals were not. may be a typo we'll see.

Brand new OEM windshield manufactured by PGW (Pittsburgh Glass Works), not cheap aftermarket glass. Fits all 1956-1962 Corvette 2 door coupes. See chart below for all vehicles. Feel free to ask any questions. We have auto glass to fit many different makes and models, please inquire for any of your glass needs. Picture is for illustration purposes only, you will receive a brand new windshield from the warehouse. Windshield has factory green tint.

What is OEM Glass?
An OEM windshield will be identical to the original, factory installed windshield that came with your car when it was brand new. These windshields may not necessarily be manufactured by the company who made the windshield originally installed on your car, but they are nearly identical in every way. This glass is manufactured according to your car maker’s very specific regulations, and will match your original in size, shape, and color. The thickness and durability will be identical as well. It’s important to note that these windshields are also certified by the Department of Transportation, so you can be assured of their safety. All OEM distributors contract with one or more of the various car manufacturer's, and that's what qualifies them as an Original Equipment Manufacturer.


What is Aftermarket Glass?
Aftermarket glass is manufactured by auto glass companies who don’t contract with specific auto makers. Since these companies are not manufacturing OEM windshields under contract for the auto manufacturer, they don’t have to abide by specific manufacturer guidelines. In fact, due to copyright laws, auto glass companies are actually prohibited from producing windshields that are identical to the factory-installed versions.

The windshield does not come packaged, the buyer will be responsible for safe transportation . Come prepared!
We will send you an invoice verifying your purchase, you will need this invoice when picking up your glass. Make sure to look over the glass completely before leaving the warehouse, once the glass leaves the warehouse it cannot be returned.

Dear richmz, It is made in the US and as stated in the listing it has a light green factory tint. I cannot give you the thickness as I do not have this particular windshield in my possession at this time, you would be picking up a brand new windshield from the warehouse location of your choice. - autoglass4u
