My New Original 67 Bolt on Wheels

A few days ago my set of 5 original bolt on wheels arrived from Naber Bros. They ar perfect and when held up against the new generation repro on the car, the difference is obvious to me. My car currently has repro bolt ons with 775x15 Redlines. My tank sticker says my car actually came with black walls. I am mounting a set of Firestone 775x15 blackwall tires on the original wheels and keeping both sets. That way I can easily just switch them if I want and when and if the time comes to sell the car, I will sell the KH bolt on separately because no one wants to step up and pay 20K+ for the car because it has original wheels on it.

    Robert,
Can you post up a pic of the original alongside the repro?
    Thanks,

    Dave

I will have my friend take one out of the box and take a picture nest to the car.

Can you recommend where to buy the new wheels and where you were able to get the best price? Also what brand and tire size are you putting on them, I was looking at Coker's red line?

Look at Long Island Corvette and Corvette Central. I believe the prices are about the same. I think a set of 4 wheels are about $2400. The tires I used are Coker 775x15 Fireston Deluxe Champions.

While I am on the subjuect, would anyone care to chime in on the proper way to install the starburst center caps and how to make sure they are secure and won't come off when driving.? Thanks
