Keeping New Vette in unheated Garage

Spent most of the last 40 years driving C2 & C3 cars in New Jersey - after each use I would hook up my battery tender never had a real problem. Come winter I would top off the gas tank after adding Sta-Bil. Now getting too old to get into older vette coupes So I sold them and took delivery of a new coupe back in Nov. (what a car) . Have already run into 0 or less temps. in Jersey and was wondering If I should continue my old ways with battery tenders and use of Sta-Bil in the winter. I now see that Sta-Bil selling a product caiied Sta-Bil 360 for year round use. Looking for input in any of these 3 areas, appreciate your thoughts. Happy New Year

Are you driving it regularly in winter, or are you storing it?

I have all my cars hooked up year round. My 2012 came with the "Battery Protection Package", a Ctek cigarette lighter plug-in that works great, never an issue, and the new ones have lots of equipment that drains a battery in the cold or hot, good insurance,.

I put the 2008 in cold storage for six months every year. Change oil before storage. I hook up a battery maintai9ner any time the car is in the garage, and especially over the winter. Fill the fuel up as high as it will go and add a bottle of Techron. When April/May arrive the car is ready to go.

            Ed,

Use the battery tender since you already have one. It will extend the life of the battery.

I have never used Sta-Bil and see no need for it. Complete waste of money. I have started cars that have been sitting for YEARS without incident. That is NOT the case with your car, but I'm just sayin'.

As long as the garage is not tightly sealed with some air infiltration, then its ambient condition will vary with the outside condition and prevent the worst case scenario: an ice cold garage opened to a warm and humid exterior will cause condensation on every surface of the car. In that case, you'd better have some fans handy, otherwise drive it immediately to evaporate all the moisture.

There is only one option......at least in the Chicago area that is.
build a second heated garage/shop and play with the toy's all winter.

You might as well put in a/c for the summers too.

Joe C is spot on except that I use Sta-Bil when ever some one gives me a bottle.
and yes my second garage/shop has heat and a/c.

Other then Kerbeck do not know of too many dealers that have extra stock outside - if they have one I am sure it's stored inside.
