    64 upper torque arm bumper

I'm working on these bumpers which are mounted to the frame above the torque arm. This is the bumper which would hit the trailing arm if you bottomed out hard. It's noted in the LI corvette catalogue as being one configuration through April 64 then bumper with tab later. Mine is early May and I have what looks like an original part with the tab. There are numbers on it but no mention of these being checked in the judging guide as far as I can find.

They are are cheap but I am trying to re-use parts that are serviceable. Having numbers on them I thought they would be judged. Did I miss it somewhere?

Wondering if I am wasting time with these? I will need to weld on a threaded stud to one of them and clean off the old undercoating. I hate buying parts when I can re-use the old ones.

Don't get too hung up on "numbers". There are no numbers on these that, as far as I know, are judged. If yours are serviceable, clean them up and re-use them.

How reusable can it be with the stud broke off. The stud's head is under the rubber as I recall.

My inner cheapskate is showing... Was going to tack weld new threaded shaft onto the broken piece. It won't show and all I need is for it to not fall off. I'm determined to use what I can by restoring if possible.
