Based on your writing it sounds like you are talking about a 63 and here is a photo of that part.Corvette steering column 006.jpg

Enzo, Check Corvette Central part number 562181. I think that is what you are asking about.

Anything in these photos of a '67? Do you have a part # from the AIM for reference?

Yes, a November built '67. However it is without the plastic cover which wraps around the mesh. The steering column changed later in the model year, and also the optional tele-column was available. But the clip for the signal harness connector remained the same as far as I recall. I did a little research for you. That clip is part of the Main Dash Forward harness. It is part of the mating connector for the turn signal switch harness in the main harness. You can see the connector in your 1967 AIM UPC 12 Sheet B3. note....."HARNESS CONN (Clip to bracket)".

Are you actually missing the clip, which attaches to the brake/clutch pedal support? I have a March built '67 in the shop and just took a few more photos for you. This one has a Tele column, but the connectors and clip are the same as the earlier car in the previous photos.

1st photo shows it attached to the pedal bracket.

I looked at several suppliers and came up empty.

It is possible that you may find it through the 2 harness suppliers. Lectric Limited or M & H. (note these are links to them) Check there or call them. Another option is to find someone who just replaced their Main harness and see if they'll get you the clip.

Good catch......I think it was some non-Corvette pad, maybe Chevelle or something, not really sure. That one in the above pics had those vertical ribs.

                            This is 68-79 Corvette

I think I changed it to one of these. But the car is in Norway now so I'll have to check with the owner. I'm pretty sure I did.

                              Rich,

Probably the only reason I noticed it is I had a similar one on my '67 when it was judged in October...Ara Gechijian (48542) who did my interior judging "busted" me for an incorrect pad which I have since replaced with one like your second picture. Happy New Year to all!!
