Hello I just purchased a set of 4 1965 or 1966 Kelsy Hayes steel wheels. I believe that they are over the counter service replacements. They are welded construction. I believe that they are over the counter replacements, because they have numbers stamped on either side of the valve stem. They are the correct physical configuration to be 1965 factory wheels but what I do not understand is why they have no GM stamp around the lug nut boses and there are no Kelsy hayes logos on the inside of the rim. The hubcaps fit very well. There appears to be white paint under the black. The person that I bought them from has had them too long for them to be some of the latest reproductions. They appear to have dates of B 27, B 24 and 3 16. I gues this is Feb 24 for the Hub. Feb 27 for the Rim and March 16 for the whole wheel. And the year is 1968, 78 or 88? Did someone reproduce these in the past? Has anyone heard of production or over the counter wheels being made without the GM or KH stmpings? Can anyone give information on wheather these would pass judging for the wheels on the car with hubcaps on? I have one of the original wheels to use for the spare. Any information or advise would be greatly appreciated.
I am posting several pictures to help with any ID info. Thanks in advance
One other thing I just noticed that the x in 15x51/2 is smaller than the 15 and 51/2 numbers. on others production wheels I think the x is the same size, I.E. 15X51/2KH
