Noticed this while examining a few on eBay and one of mine from early '65 VIN 014xx; (first pic). The stamp code is 466435 (trust me
). The output transistor DS-501 just happens to be ink-stamped 435 (the early 3-digit format). I'm guessing that the last 4 speaker digits 6435 translate to 1964, 35th week. Another one I have is shown in 2nd pic with 466449 stamp (1964, 49th week). The 3rd pic is of an eBay speaker & radio removed from a '67 stamped 466706.
The first two digits might be the Delco model # (ie. for a 6" x 9" with attached output transformer).
Any comments on this theory ? Don't know whether this might apply to C3's or not.
